The FAA Certification Services Oversight Process (CSOP) governs the queue for new air carrier certificates (such as Part 135 and Part 142). Part 142 regulates certified aviation training centers providing structured flight crew training. Part 60 sets the qualification, performance, and evaluation standards for Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs).
